Eccentric mass motor
An eccentric mass motor is a motor that spins a weight mounted off-center on its shaft. The off-center weight pulls the motor around in a circle as it turns, which creates a vibrating force at the rotation frequency. The force grows with the mass, its offset, and the square of the speed.
Example: The buzz in a phone or game controller comes from a tiny motor spinning a lopsided weight.
